Hello, I bought this and the lights do not work. Any ideas?
1. Check to ensure the AAA batteries are charged and you have placed the batteries at right directions.Then make sure the battery switch is at the ‘ON’ position.
2. Check to see the LED light and the wires are complete and not broken.
3. Check the touch mother board is complete and not broken:see the electric component parts embedded on are full and welded firmly. Make sure that the wires are connected accurately.Red wires are connected to Positive electrode,black wires are connected to Negative electrode.
4. Check the same color wires are connected firmly
How long does it stay on with the touchlight ? Will it turn off itself?
The light in the book nook kit will be on if you press the switch. It will turn off if you press it again. Unless the batteries run out,it will not turn off itself.

My mother found this product at a bargain store unknowing what it was. She brought it to me because of my love for miniatures, puzzles, and BOOKS. I was skeptical at first but after working this I am pleased to say I will go out of my way to purchase more. The overall packaging was great because it kept the wooden pop pieces secure and stabilized to avoid damage. This is the first and only book nook I have completed so my review is based off no comparison. I loved taking my time and MAKING the books. From the tedious cut outs to gluing every cover, accordion folding the paper books, etc. The attention to detail will not disappoint. All the wooden pieces are properly labeled and easy to identify. I had one piece splinter due to my negligence and was able to fix it easily. The book gives you a picture view of what each step should look like as well as a breakdown view of gluing/assembling that step. Although this build took me a few hours (probably an hour just to assemble books) I felt that it was easy to follow, fun, overall a great way to spend my time. The attention to detail throughout is absolutely amazing. I loved gluing individual posters and rolling the newspapers. I loved the layered building to big parts such as the fireplace and the bookshelf on the side walls. I was impressed with the mirror quality. The lighting is simple and easy and comparing that to a dollhouse build (building a circuit board) I was pleased with ease of just pulling wire along the walls. Overall this is a great product and will take time to build, but it is WORTH IT!! It has inspired me and given me a new hobby. I cannot wait to see other products available from this brand.
This is not a good kit for newbies. The instructions are difficult to understand because of the perspective of the drawings. I strongly recommend not gluing any pieces until you assemble it roughly so that you can rebuild it correctly before gluing. Some pieces were also difficult to handle without breakage. But the most frustrating part was that all the book covers (over 70 of them), had to be glued on - they’re not stickers like in other kits. It’s a beautiful finished product, but requires skill and patience.
This is absolutely gorgeous..until the glue sets and you're unable to attach an entire sidewall due to no extra pieces being included just in case something gets broken..the majority of this also needed glue, vs the Legend of Wukong that literally needed no glue, I wish there was a LOT more clarity on which needs what. Other than that I was able to salvage and get it to close..but not how it's supposed to be..
This is the 3rd kit I've done. If it was the first, I probably wouldn't have done anymore. Very few snap in parts, all of the paper needs to be cut out and glued, and there are over 70 books. Time consuming, messy and boring. Get one of the newer kits, you'll be much happier.
I really enjoyed putting together this kit. All the parts were in the kits and the lights all work. The kit just takes some time and patience. I found putting the kit together relaxing. The quality was good. Though have to be careful with the small pieces. They break easily.
