Hello, I bought this and the lights do not work. Any ideas?
1. Check to ensure the AAA batteries are charged and you have placed the batteries at right directions.Then make sure the battery switch is at the ‘ON’ position.
2. Check to see the LED light and the wires are complete and not broken.
3. Check the touch mother board is complete and not broken:see the electric component parts embedded on are full and welded firmly. Make sure that the wires are connected accurately.Red wires are connected to Positive electrode,black wires are connected to Negative electrode.
4. Check the same color wires are connected firmly
How long does it stay on with the touchlight ? Will it turn off itself?
The light in the book nook kit will be on if you press the switch. It will turn off if you press it again. Unless the batteries run out,it will not turn off itself.

This Christmas book nook kit is a delightful project that brings creativity to life. The intricate details make it a wonderful decorative piece, perfect for gifting or adding a festive touch to my bookshelf.
We really enjoyed assembling this Christmas book nook. Very detailed and not too difficult to assemble. We had no missing pieces and we love the theme. The grandkids will love looking at it when they come over.
The book nook is made with quality materials and is a fun way to pass the time. This Christmas book nook would make a great gift already assembled or given to someone who would enjoy assembling it for themselves. I think it's a great value considering it will last for years to come.
I had a lot of fun, and definitely some frustration, building this! My likes and dislikes are as follows…
- There are different and fun items like the cute snowmen and trees. The extras not only make a build more fun, but also give the final product more character.
- The sound the music box makes is horrendous.
- Plenty of force, wriggling, and finesse is needed to assemble many of the pieces. Awkward placement made it difficult to construct the nook as well. Some pieces kept falling off and had to be very carefully glued so they would stay in place and yet still function as intended.
- The instructions are in color, and they are easy to understand. There were a couple of places where the light explanation was non-existent, but I managed to figure it out eventually.
Overall, this cute book nook was lots of fun to put together. The struggle with some of the assembly makes this a 4.5 star, but I had to choose 4 or 5, so I chose a 5 because the final product looks so cute and was a great theme, very different from the many others I have put together.
I have been really into building book nooks and miniatures, so I was excited to get one with a Christmas theme. I would say this one is fairly easy to put together, but it had a couple of trickier spots that may make it better for someone who has done a couple of these before. It is super cute and I love that you can rotate the Christmas tree. I am looking forward to including this among my holiday decor!
