Hello, I bought this and the lights do not work. Any ideas?
1. Check to ensure the AAA batteries are charged and you have placed the batteries at right directions.Then make sure the battery switch is at the ‘ON’ position.
2. Check to see the LED light and the wires are complete and not broken.
3. Check the touch mother board is complete and not broken:see the electric component parts embedded on are full and welded firmly. Make sure that the wires are connected accurately.Red wires are connected to Positive electrode,black wires are connected to Negative electrode.
4. Check the same color wires are connected firmly
How long does it stay on with the touchlight ? Will it turn off itself?
The light in the book nook kit will be on if you press the switch. It will turn off if you press it again. Unless the batteries run out,it will not turn off itself.

Customer Reviews
Everything came well packaged and labeled sor easy assembly. The instructions were easy to follow with labeled pieces, and colored photos. Very easy step by step instructions to follow. The wood it's self smells good, I know that sounds odd but it really does!
Some pieces come with doubles made incase you break one, that way you have a back up. The kit comes with 2 little tools to punch out that are perfect for popping out the tiny pieces, highly recommend using them.
It felt like a puzzle putting it together, in a fun relaxing way. I had no issues with anything breaking or not fitting and the wiring for the light was much easier to install than I thought it would be thanks to the well made instructions.
There are a couple steps that call for glue, I personally didn't glue anything and it didn't come with glue. Mine looks great and feels sturdy without glue. I'd rather the suitcase and chest pieces not be glued to the floor anyways.
The light is a touch light when installed correctly and easy to ease. The battery pack uses 2 triple A batteries and is hidden in a compartment when the nook is finished.
For size, it's not very large but perfect for bookshelf decor either way.
Definitely recommend this kit! It looks great on the bookshelf!
I am beyond obsessed with these Book Nook kits. I was looking for one with a lot of detail yet a quick build and grabbed this one as soon as I saw it. This kit would also be good for a young teenager or a beginner.
I was so excited when it arrived and opened it intending to dig in...but life happened and it still hasn't been started.
It comes with everything you need. the materials are good quality and the colors vibrant.
The instructions are mostly pictures with a little writing. All the writing is in English.
I love that sections can be moved to reveal more of the detail inside the finished project. I plan one digging right into this one the first chance I get.
I will post a copy of th finished project as soon as I can.
If you are new to Book Nooks and Miniatures, or you just want an easy project buy this. you won't b disappointed.
